The Stash has released the first-ever customizable AR music video. Interact with their latest single, “Give it Time,” in a unique way that brings the band alive. Allowing you to create a personal music video for their latest song.
Using AR you can place the members in your space, record them performing their song, and share it with the world.
The App was designed as a linear experience, including a user tutorial. The look and feel of the experience reflect the band’s “Blade Runner” style. We took a modern approach to the interface, keeping recognizable retro features, including camera viewfinder, recording time stamp, and even using haptic feedback for all buttons, providing a more analog and tactile experience.
The App was programmed in Unity using Apple’s new AR Kit to its fullest extent. Coming soon!
Our goal was to launch the App as the band launches the single. The launch includes wild posting, digital assets and a micro-site.
Elephant, NYC, gave us, as interns, the incredible opportunity to create and execute our own idea, this project being the result. This meant working resourcefully under a limited budget. This meant having to 3D print a phone case for a 3D scanner and using an Xbox Kinect to 3D capture their movements.
The app was fully finished and tested, but due to Covid-19 never launched.
